After a career of opening successful restaurants across Massachusetts and winning the Boston Clam Chowder competition, Jerry Sullivan and his wife Jeanne moved to North Carolina to retire. However, they soon realized that they weren’t ready to leave the restaurant world behind. In 1997, they opened the Nantucket Café to provide the community with their special New England style of cooking.
Our first restaurant proved to be very popular, to the point that our customers were begging for “more Nantucket.” We listened to our customers’ requests and opened our first full-service Nantucket Grill & Bar in Chapel Hill in 2002. With the excellent reception our second location enjoyed, we were able to expand and open our Durham location in 2007 followed by our Raleigh location in 2010.

Always my go to!! The best menu items are the Nachos and the Seafood Pasta, always on point and generous portions, I get these every time I go! And of course you can’t go wrong with any flavor cake they have, to die for!!!
